Cambium Learning® Technologies and The Max Warburg Courage Curriculum, Inc. are excited to present the 2011-2012 "Courage in My Community" Essay Competition. The goals of this collaboration include engaging students in the reading and writing process; encouraging students to write about their personal experiences with courage; and continuing to integrate technology with English Language Arts curricula.
To help students find inspiration in reading and writing, we invite students in grades 5-8 to take part in the “Courage in My Community” essay contest.
The contest encourages students to explore and write about their own experience with courage and how this experience has made an impact in their lives. For additional guidelines please visit our official rules page.
Students will have access to a searchable library of award-winning courage essays written by other middle school students who have participated in The Max Warburg Courage Curriculum in Boston.
Please visit our Prize page to learn about the exciting prizes your school and students can win by participating. In addition, we encourage schools to deepen their experience by exploring and implementing “The Max Warburg Courage Curriculum.”
GOOD LUCK AND HAPPY WRITING!
